I never got it, and till this day I still can’t

I used to rock, everyday in the summer

But that never stopped me, from skating the street
‘Cause all I did was find a dry spot up under a tree
So it’s no wonder why we, never gave a shit about school
I’ll smoke through my homework time to skate ‘cause I’m out dude

Now before we had any drama filled whack skateparks
We used to always stop and get ill at Capehart and skate hard
Annihilating for hours
And if my sweaty ass got dry I wasn’t taking a shower
‘Cause that’s how I’m living, and most don’t know this about me
But I was one of the few cats who started Salvation Army
Damn, man you remember those one days
We used paint then skate in the basement of Subway
When I was younger always hit the city and skate
But since I’m older I flip thoughts on my memory bank
Plus you know, what I’m about kid
It’s me and Jaime, straight skating the fountain
In downtown with the new board and grip tape
The lighting reminded me of Zoo York Mixtape
Volume 1 and since I saw it son
I can’t stop watching because it’s not enough
That’s the best video, that’s ever been made
I played it so much I fucked up the tracking display
I’m gonna go back to those days ‘cause that shit was great
We gave a fuck about nothing ‘cause all we did was skate
